This is a builders dream! A luxury 8,000 square foot commercially eco-built home. Nestled in a small private community on a 1.3 acre lot, with a private bridge crossing a stream to a private drive. Here the builder / owner / resident has custom built every aspect of his home. From using the latest in construction / design eco-block consisting of a formed foam block, re-enforced steel and concrete system, providing the strength, security, and insulation to last several life times. 327 yards of concrete, 35,000 board feet of lumber, and over 50 tons of steel where used in constructing these three floors of living space. Each floor structure is made of concrete and steel, insulating each from noise and separate air handled climate systems. The only wood structural studs used were in the roof rafters, a special non-warping 2"x12" TGI, normally used for floor joist, and then 5/8" plywood with 30 year shingles for the roof. Hand picked, fine grain tong and grooved woods where used on practically every inch of interior walls and ceilings. Every bit of exterior exposed wood has been covered with a low maintenance painted aluminum, and vinyl siding on the rest of the exterior walls. Double pained glass Hurd Windows, and solid core aluminum doors where use for added insulation. Two of the floors have been built as complete and possibly separate living facilities. With their own air handling systems, full kitchen, each having 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, large living room with stone fireplace on the second floor, large window / screened in porches on both floors, the down stairs having a circulating endless pool, constructed with double insulated foam floor and concrete to maximize on a more consistent temperature control of the water. Saving energy. The insulation factor of the house is close to R50, making for an incredibly energy efficient home. An average for heating and cooling per month, for the year, runs less than $100. The two car garage has a large apartment above it, with a half bath and balcony. Bricked in over hang and shed big enough for any project. And now for the lady of the house. Each kitchen has a gas stove and oven, full size dish washer, large pantries, island table, and lots of storage shelves. Large full size laundry room on the first and second floor. Extra large walk-in closets! Two over hang out door porches, front and side. Extensive land escaping on the entire property, making for a very beautiful finish to an incredible home.
